  •     As unpleasant as it may be, accidents can occur anytime and anywhere
at home, at the street, in a public place or at a workplace. First Aid Knowledge is invaluable, and it could certainly save a life when needed. Furthermore Health & Safety and First Aid Training are more than just legal requirements, they are the difference between saving a life or regrettably losing a life. The Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations require employers to provide adequate and appropriate equipment, facilities and personnel to enable first aid to be given to employees if they are injured or become ill at work. Employers are required to carry out an assessment of first aid needs.
  •     The First aid at work training course provides the comprehensive
set of practical skills needed by first aiders in most workplaces to become a confident first aider at work. Giving both the ability and knowledge to deal with first aid emergencies. It meets the standards required to help comply in accordance with the current Government legislation in Cyprus on Health and Safety in the workplace (Κ.Δ.Π. 189/2009).

At the end of the session personnel will be able to:
  •     Understand the responsibilities of the occupational first aider.
Provide immediate treatment or care to someone suffering from an injury or illness for the purpose of preserving life or minimising the consequences of injury until discharge or the arrival of medical assistance.

  •     Principles of personal hygiene and protection when providing first aid
  •     The role of first aider
  •     Dealing with a casualty
  •     Communication and casualty care
  •     Assessing the situation
  •     Unconscious adult
  •     Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR for adults)
  •     Chocking unconscious adult
  •     Airway obstruction
  •     Asthma
  •     Anaphylactic shock
  •     Fainting
  •     Shock
  •     Heart attack
  •     Bleeding and types of wound
  •     Chest wound
  •     Eye wound
  •     Fractures, dislocated joints, strains, sprains
  •     Spinal injury
  •     Concussion
  •     Stroke
  •     Hypoglycaemia
  •     Burns
  •     Poisoning
  •     18 hours – Assessment at the end of the course
  •     To ensure you get the most effective learning experience,
learners must be physically able to participate, and we limit group size 8 - 12 people.
  •    This course is suitable for anyone who wants to receive our most
thorough first aid training and be able to handle the most incidents that may occur in the workplace. It is suitable for employees of construction sites, factories, ports, hotels, schools, warehouses and other high-risk workplaces.
  •    No previous first aid knowledge is needed to attend an AED course.
