- The Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations require employers to
provide adequate and appropriate equipment, facilities and personnel to enable first aid to be given to employees if they are injured or become ill at work. Employers are required to carry out an assessment of first aid needs.
- The Emergency First aid at Work training course is a 6-hour introductory
program that prepares first aiders to deal with emergencies that endanger human life. It is aimed at employees whose working environment is low risk. This course will also help you meet your regulatory requirements if your risk assessment indicates that first aid training covering emergency protocols only, is sufficient for your workplace.
At the end of the session personnel will be able to:
- Provide first aid to someone who is injured or becomes ill while
at work or minimising the consequences of injury until discharge or the arrival of medical assistance.
- To ensure you get the most effective learning experience,
learners must be physically able to participate, and we limit group size 8 - 15 people.
- This course is designed for people who want to receive training in
emergency first aid and is especially suited for nominated first aiders in smaller, low risk working environments.
