  •     First aid at work requalification is suitable for people who have previously
completed a first aid at work course and need to renew their first aid at work qualification for another three years in order to continue to act as a first aider for their workplace.
  •     The First aid at work requalification training course provides to
candidates the required set of practical skills needed by first aiders in most workplaces to refresh their skills and maintain their competencies and be a confident first aider at work. It meets the standards required to help comply in accordance with the current Government legislation in Cyprus on Health and Safety in the workplace (Κ.Δ.Π. 189/2009).

At the end of the session personnel will be able to:
  •     Understand the responsibilities of the occupational first aider.
Provide immediate treatment or care to someone suffering from an injury or illness for the purpose of preserving life or minimising the consequences of injury until discharge or the arrival of medical assistance. Personnel will be able also to operate and use the Automated External Defibrillator.
  •     Legal requirements and Introduction
  •     Use of necessary first aid equipment, in the workplace
  •     Principles of personal hygiene and protection when providing first aid
  •     The role of first aider
  •     Assessing the situation
  •     Unconscious adult
  •     Unconscious child/infant*
  •     Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR for adults)
  •     Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR for childs and infants)*
  •     Use of Automated External Defibrillator (AED)
  •     Drowning *
  •     Chocking *
  •     Strangulation *
  •     Hanging *
  •     Asthma
  •     Hyperventilation *
  •     Anaphylactic shock
  •     Inhalation of fumes
  •     Fainting
  •     Shock
  •     Heart attack
  •     Bleeding and types of wound
  •     Fractures
  •     Epilepsy
  •     Stroke
  •     Hypoglycaemia
  •     Burns
  •     Electric shock

  •     12 hours – Assessment at the end of the course
  •     To ensure you get the most effective learning experience,
learners must be physically able to participate, and we limit group size 8 - 12 people.
  •     This course is suitable for anyone who wants to renew a valid First aid
at work and Automated External Defibrillator (AED) certificate.
  •     Persons attending this course should have previously completed a First
Aid at Work and Automated External Defibrillator (AED) within maximum 3 years.
