  •     A cardiac arrest can happen to anyone, anywhere, at any time.
A person's chance of survival falls by about 10%* for each minute that passes without defibrillation. The risk of death can be reduced if you have a defibrillator in your workplace and know how to use it. If you already have a defibrillator, it’s important that your employees know where it is.
  •     This training course provides the comprehensive set of skills needed
by people to become a confident person to use the Automated External Defibrillator, provide a cardiopulmonary resuscitation and what to do in an emergency.

At the end of the session personnel will be able to:
  •     Provide immediate treatment to someone requires cardiopulmonary
resuscitation (CPR) or the use of automated external defibrillator (AED). Personnel will be able also to operate and use the Automated External Defibrillator.
  •     Legal requirements and Introduction
  •     Use of necessary first aid equipment, in the workplace
  •     Principles of personal hygiene and protection when providing first aid
  •     The role of first aider
  •     Assessing the situation
  •     Communication and casualty care
  •     Dealing with a casualty
  •     Primary survey
  •     Unconscious adult
  •     Recovery position
  •     Secondary survey
  •     Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR for adults)
  •     Presentation and use of the Automated External Defibrillator (AED)
  •     6 hours – Assessment at the end of the course
  •     To ensure you get the most effective learning experience,
learners must be physically able to participate, and we limit group size 6 people.
  •     This course is suitable for anyone who is interested in furthering his/her
emergency first aid skills, or already take part in an organised first aid scheme, then this course would suit them. If they are a health care worker, then this course will serve as a basic module.
  •     No previous first aid knowledge is needed to attend an AED course.
